2017 will mark the completion of the final phase of the 780 acre Canterwood Neighborhood. Over 30 years in development, the final phase is Division 14, The Peaks will round out this picturesque neighborhood. The Canterwood Home Owners Association (HOA) has evolved over the years, currently there are 5 volunteer board members running the organization with the help of volunteer committees. In addition there are two (fantastic) full time staff that help run the HOA office and make our lives as residents better. The HOA office sits outside the Peacock Hill gate next to the Canterwood Riding Club.
Russell Tanner from our Canterwood Real Estate team has served on the HOA board for over 20 years! He sits on the board as the developer as he is also the President of Canterwood Development Company. If you ever need to know anything about the history of Canterwood (formerly knows as Lorigon back in the late 80s-early 90’s), Russell is your vault of knowledge. He’s walked all the property, knows the area inside and out including utilities, easements, drainage etc. He knows the area so well that if he can’t answer it on the spot, he knows where to find the information for you. To read up on the history of Canterwood, Canterwood Lifestyles Magazine (the free neighborhood magazine), will be running a 3 part series on the Past, Present and Future of Canterwood’s history this summer. The HOA continues to evolve as the Canterwood neighborhood grows and becomes more established as a mini-city. Another one of our Canterwood Real Estate Team members, Paige Schulte, sits on the Technology + Communication committee whose goal is to improve communication, increase the use of technology as a communication tool and find proactive, sustainable ways to increase the HOA’s goals of great customer service to its residents.
The HOA is open Monday-Friday from 9am-4pm for your convenience or you can visit them online for a plethora of information including the CC&R’s, Neighborhood Rules and Regulations and new resident check list to make your move into Canterwood seamless.
